I bought the domains using Go Daddy.  Go Daddy is my favourite domain registrar company.  Go Daddy is free to join.  Their level of customer service is outstanding and I have had nothing but great experiences with them. GoDaddy charge $8.95 per .com domain for 12 months.

   Dear [Name Removed], My name is Martin Pavion.  I am contacting you as I believe you may be interested in the internet domain XXX.com which is the acronym of [Your Saxophone Quartet] I was recently contracted for an internet project whereby I registered this internet domain name on behalf of a client for an unrelated website.  Unfortunately the client has since cancelled the project and I am keen to recover the money due for this. I am the legal owner of XXXX.com and have no practical use for it.  I searched online for the phrase and discovered your quartet and a few sites relating to computing.  I am not sure if you are aware of this or not but four-letter .com internet domains are now extremely rare and have a significant investment value.  A 4-digit domain name not only offers the potential for financial gain in the future but would be a very memorable website name to promote the sale of your music.        Before I write too much I'd like to know if you and your fellow band members are interested in speaking more with me about this domain, and if so we can perhaps speak by telephone and communicate further. It took me four attempts before I actually got a reply from the buyer so it's always a good idea to be persistent but hopefully not too pushy.  With each re-sent email I apologized if they'd received my past email but I wasn't confident it had arrived. 

Four days later I had successfully agreed to sell the domain name for $500.  Seeing as I'd paid only $8.95 for the registration I was pretty happy with my profit.
